Fatoora in one sentence

Fatoora (فاتورة) is ZATCA's e-invoicing platform — the government portal and APIs where Saudi VAT-registered businesses register EGS units, obtain CSID certificates, and submit invoices for clearance (B2B) or reporting (B2C).

If you're searching "what is Fatoora", "Fatoora ZATCA", or "Fatoora portal login" — this is the system your POS, ERP, or billing software must connect to in Phase 2.

What Phase 2 requires on Fatoora

  1. EGS registration — each branch/device that issues invoices
  2. CSID certificates — Compliance then Production (renewed ~annually)
  3. UBL 2.1 XML — Saudi profile, ECDSA signed
  4. PIH chain — Previous Invoice Hash per EGS unit
  5. Clearance (B2B) — invoice cleared before buyer receives it
  6. Reporting (B2C) — issue first, report within 24 hours

Phase 1 only required local generation + QR. Phase 2 is live API integration.

Fatoora portal — what you'll do there

  • Log in at fatoora.zatca.gov.sa
  • Check your Phase 2 wave and deadline
  • Register EGS units
  • Generate OTP codes (expire in ~5 min) for onboarding or CSID renewal

Day-to-day invoice submission is via API from your software — not manual upload.

Integration options

  1. Build direct Fatoora API integration — full control, weeks/months of engineering
  2. Use middleware (Esnad) — POST JSON, we handle UBL, signing, Fatoora calls, webhooks
  3. ERP/POS module — if your vendor ships Phase 2 clearance/reporting (not just QR)
